Responsibilities Work as a Crew Member at a busy McDonalds store at Westfield Southland Shopping Centre in Cheltenham. Tasks include preparing delicious food items quickly for customers without compromising quality. Other duties included taking delivery of stock; Washing dishes; Closing and opening the store, as well as various other maintenance tasks.
More importantly, working at McDonalds has provided me with invaluable experience in learning about their famous processes and procedures to develop exceptional communication skills in a high pressure and busy team environment. I have developed a unique business perspective from the world’s largest fast food chain and one of the world’s pre-eminent brands.

Voluntary and Community Involvement
November 2008-Present McHappy Day Volunteer I have repeatedly volunteered my time and services every McHappy Day throughout my time working at McDonalds. This includes face painting, dressing up in different themed costumes as well as collecting donations from members of the public to support Ronald McDonald House Charity which provide accommodation for families of seriously ill children.
Jun 2009Volunteering to Assist Children in a Nepali Orphanage, Nagajuna School, as part of a World Challenge Expedition Along with a group from my school, I volunteered to spend a week at an orphanage school in the Pokhara region of Nepal. We provided the children with new materials including lap top computers, sports equipment, basic books and stationary bought with money we had fundraised. We also spent time teaching the children and took them on excursions. The whole program was coordinated by the group which greatly developed my skills in logistics, team management, teamwork and communication.
Jan 2009Grass Roots Tennis Volunteer, Australian Open Tennis 2009 I helped co-ordinate activities for the younger demographic of tennis fans present at the tournament and help them develop tennis skills. This job gave me invaluable experience working in a team environment as well as working with a variety of consumers. In the role I had to think on my feet, deal with complaints as well as spread energy and enthusiasm to ensure the experience was positive for all involved.
